Katybird was hatched in 2003 when our search for fun and functional clothing for our daughter always ended up in a sea of lace, tiny buttons and pink flowers. Where was the color? The fun prints? The Velcro? We had many a coffee session pondering the possibilities. As our daughter grew older, and our coffee intake increased, we decided to put our backgrounds in art and business to work. Searching out bright colors, bold prints, and vintage-inspired fabrics we began to create cozy blankets, leopard-print bibs that would stay on and reversible jumpers that could be changed in a snap. After plenty of late nights and much inspiration, katybird took flight... Katybird's original goal to create children's essentials that are both functional and fashionable is still its main focus today. Katybird's unique creations change with the seasons: From fresh spring prints to soft corduroy for fall.
